5RD Kensuke’s Kingdom inspired log books.
This week, Year 5 have been diving into Kensuke’s Kingdom and have produced some truly stunning log books inspired by Michael’s journey at sea. The children created beautifully presented pages designed to look like weathered ship logs, using tea-stained paper to give an aged, ocean-worn effect. The results were incredible and really helped bring the story to life. 🌊 Alongside their writing, they added detailed illustrations of sea creatures, just like Michael did in the book. The creativity, effort and imagination on display has been fantastic to see. 🐢🐠 Well done 5RD for producing such thoughtful and artistic work, your log books truly look like they belong on an adventure at sea! 📖✨
Flamingo class performing ‘The Enormous Turnip’ 🧑🌾🥬
Last week, Flamingo Class got creative in their English lesson as they made their very own puppets to help retell the story of ‘The Enormous Turnip’. They worked together in groups, showing great unity as they brought the story to life. We had lots of fun performing our stories to rest of the class.
3D’s trip to Waltham Abbey Gardens🌺🌸
3D visited Waltham Abbey gardens this week to enhance their learning on plants in our topic ‘How does your garden grow?’ We had a fantastic day and took part in lots of activities!
Rhyme time in Wagtail class
Wagtail class had a lovely time sitting in the school garden, listening to our new text Mad About Minibeasts . Working in pairs, we explored the story and had fun finding and recovering rhyming couplets together 🐞🌿😊
