5RD Food Technology- Logo designs

Image
Today, we selected the ingredients for our final pasta pot designs! After completing our taste test sessions, we carefully chose our favourite pasta, sauces, vegetables, and cheeses to create the perfect combination. We discussed flavours, textures, and colours to help us make our final decisions. We can’t wait to make our delicious pasta pots! We also became designers by creating our own logos. We incorporated our names, creative designs, and chosen ingredients into our logos to make them unique and eye-catching. It was great fun using our imagination and teamwork skills to bring our ideas to life.

Thank You, Year 5 Sports Crew!

Image
A huge thank you to our fantastic Year 5 Sports Crew for helping with the Reception and Year 1 Sports Day! They were supportive, kind, encouraging and incredibly helpful throughout the event. From cheering on the children to helping activities run smoothly, they showed wonderful teamwork and leadership skills all day long. We honestly don’t know what we would have done without them! Well done, Sports Crew, and thank you for being such brilliant role models for our younger children. We are very proud of you all!

Which porridge did Goldilocks like? Sorting out the beds, chairs and bowls of scrumptious porridge. Making our story maps to help remember the story.

The Owls said goodbye to our butterflies!

Image
After caring so carefully for our caterpillars and watching with wonder as they became butterflies, it was time to release them this afternoon. We sliced their last oranges for a delicious treat before letting them fly away! The Owls all waved goodbye and watched with amazement as they set off on their new journeys.

3B Fortress Fun

Image
This week, we spent our Tuesday afternoon carefully building our own castles. Working in our table groups, 3B displayed incredible unity and determination . It wasn’t just about stacking boxes; it was about honouring a shared vision . Each group started with a collaborative plan, and seeing them stick to those blueprints while navigating the complexities of construction was truly impressive. Our young architects learned the vital skill of compromise in two major ways: Collaborative Ideas: Students blended their individual visions, merging different tower designs and gatehouse concepts into one cohesive structure. Resourcefulness: Using only kindly-donated cardboard and spare materials, the teams had to adapt their grand designs to fit the "quarry" of resources available. If they didn’t have the perfect cylinder for a turret, they engineered a new solution! A Heartfelt Thank You We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who donated cardboard and supplies.
