 Well done to our first time to shine winners and keep shining brightly this year! 

Starling Class were very lucky to be visited by HEST (Havering Emotional Support Team) who delivered a ‘Best Buddies’ workshop this morning. The children discussed what characteristics make a good friend. 

 

 5W used their planning skills to come up with some initial ideas for our doodlers✏️🖍️🔋

 Kingfisher class have been amazing storytellers this week, planning and rewriting their own versions of Jack & the Beanstalk! They have WOW’d us with their wonderful choice of adjectives and have turned these into expanded noun phrases! Well done Kingfishers! ⭐️

This week, our curious Goldfinch Class have been learning the names of different shapes in French. We have been practising our pronunciation and writing the French words that match the correct shapes.  Très Bien Goldfinch Class 🇫🇷⭐️

 This week, Toucan class have been investigating maps as part of our art work. We looked closely at different maps, noticing the colours , lines and symbols and the different ways of marking places and landmarks.  We then used our findings to create and draw our own maps, adding landmarks of our choice. Well done Toucans!

  What a wonderful second full week the Puffin Class have had! We have been so impressed with how well the children have settled in and how enthusiastically they have embraced all the exciting learning opportunities around them. This week, the Puffins have explored  all areas of learning , taking part in a wide variety of fun and engaging activities. From exploring and creating to talking, sharing, counting and discovering, there has been lots of learning happening throughout the classroom. The children have particularly enjoyed getting involved in our classroom activities, showing curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm as they learn and play together. It has been lovely to see friendships developing and the children growing in confidence

 4CO really enjoyed their art lesson this week, creating 3D effects through shading and tone.

 The Hummingbirds have had another fantastic week of making new friends and exploring our environment. Highlights this week have included reading and colouring with friends and paint splatting pom poms!

 

Starling Class enjoyed participating in a range of circus themed activities on Wednesday in order to raise money for our new outside area. Well done, Starlings! Thank you for all of your generous donations. 

The Owls are enjoying being creative in our art area. It has been lovely to see their ideas represented in their play 🎨  

 This week we have dived right into our new Computing topic - Coding. The children enjoyed exploring a collision based catching game, learning the parameters of the game and begun to code sections. Watch this space for master designers!
