Eco-Warriors in the Making: Crafting Our Way to a Cleaner Tomorrow! ♻️๐ฑ
There is nothing quite like seeing big real-world concepts click for our little learners, and today was an absolute masterclass in environmental awareness!
Class 3B rolled up their sleeves and became mini waste-management experts by creating their very own miniature sorting bins. To make the activity as practical as possible, they replicated the exact colour schemes used by our local council:
๐ข Green for garden waste
⚫ Black for general waste
๐ Orange for recycling waste
Using simple card, heaps of imagination, and plenty of colour, they meticulously designed their bins and even took care to draw the appropriate logos on each one.
Going the Extra Mile: What Goes Where?
As an extension challenge, several children took the activity a step further by crafting tiny paper objects to sort into their bins. We had miniature twigs and leaves destined for the green bins, tiny plastic bottles and newspapers headed for the orange recycling bins, and everyday rubbish destined for the black bins.
It was incredible to watch them discuss, debate, and correctly categorize each item. Not only did they showcase their fantastic fine-motor and crafting skills, but they also demonstrated a genuine understanding of how to care for our community and the planet.
A Huge Well Done! We are so proud of the creativity, teamwork, and eco-conscious thinking on display today. Our future is definitely in safe, green hands.
