🗺️ Mapping Our World in Wagtail Class
Wagtail Class have been learning about our local area and exploring where we live and what makes it such a special place. Using local maps, the children identified important landmarks and discussed places that are significant to our community.
They also learned about different map symbols and how these are used to represent features on a map. The children enjoyed exploring and interpreting a range of symbols, developing their understanding of how maps help us navigate and learn about our surroundings.
To showcase their learning, the children created their own maps, carefully using symbols to represent key landmarks and features. We were incredibly impressed with their creativity, attention to detail, and growing geographical knowledge.
Well done, Wagtail Class, on your fantastic map-making skills! 🗺️⭐
