From Truffula Seeds to Industrial Machines: Step Inside 3B's Lorax Drama Adventure!

What happens when you mix classic literature, active physical theatre, and a powerful message about protecting our planet? Our classroom transforms entirely! Today, 3B stepped directly into the pages of Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax to explore environmental ethics through drama.

Drama is uniquely powerful because it doesn't just teach children a narrative—it allows them to feel it. By stepping into the shoes of both the vulnerable wildlife and the fiercely ambitious corporate world, our students tackled complex real-world choices in a creative, collaborative, and deeply engaging environment.

Please have a look at us roleplaying this tremendous adventure with props we created in our art lesson on Monday!

I really enjoyed seeing the children take on board their roles and really consider how they would feel in the situations around the story of 'The Lorax'.

We finished with a final question that the children were able to respond to expertly:

If you had the final Truffula Tree seed, how would you keep it safe and what would you do with it?

Well done, 3B!
