Motivation, education and beyond for Year 6!
In the Access Higher session this week the children pondered the following questions:
What’s important to you?
What makes you happy?
What do you not like?
Then the children looked at their own qualities:
Skills = Things you can learn
Qualities = Things that are personal to you and part of what makes you who you are.
Skills you have = playing an instrument, having a second language, playing a sport for example.
How do you want to build on these?
This moved onto finding out what different qualities you need for certain jobs.
Their task was:
Becoming a career advisor: discuss with a partner what career you might have when you’re older. (What are their interests and qualities and what do you think they should do for a living in the future?)
